    SYNOPSIS
Bullwinkle wants to sing a happy song, but Underdog and Rocky challenge him to sing something sad. So Bullwinkle sings a sad song about a lonely and freezing moose who discovers there's a restaurant named after him! For a happy ending, he sings about taking up the banjo and becoming the star that he is. Boris doesn't care for the happy ending, but Rocky uses the opportunity to provide a plug about Bullwinkle's desserts!

    LYRICS
Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, it's show time! And here's our star, that snappy happy do-happy chappy, the monarch of mirth, Bullwinkle!

Bullwinkle: Heidi! Right now we're gonna do a happy little song about...

    Underdog: Do we have to?

    Bullwinkle: Say what?

Underdog: Do we have to do another happy little song? How come we never get to do a sad little song?

Rocky: Yeah Bullwinkle! Something that'll pluck at your old heartstrings!

Bullwinkle: Well if you want your old heartstrings plucked, I gotta song that's gonna strum 'em like a Ukululu!

    Rocky: A real sad song?

Bullwinkle: Prepare to shed a tear Rocky! Okay fellers, here we go (voice breaks)

In a swamp by the river a moose stood alone
    Singing 'winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle
And I said to him, “Moosie, pray why do you moan?”
    Singing 'winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle
You sound like a foghorn whenever you talk and it's seeming off-key, you could win in a walk
Tell me why do you utter that terrible squawk?
    Of 'winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle

    Company:
He waggled his antlers to shake off the snow
    Singing 'winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle
And the icicles formed on his dewlap below
    Oh 'winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle
In his big growing eyeball a tiny tear rolls
And it ran down his cheek 'tward the end of his nose
But the trip was too long and the little thing froze
    Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle!

    Bullwinkle:
I'm Bullwinkle Moose, I'm a big star you see
    Singing 'winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle
And my programs are running on color TV
    Oh 'winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle
But they're all of 'em reruns, they don't pay a thing
So I'm back in the swamp where the icicles cling
And to try to keep warm I stand up here and sing
    Oh 'winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle

    Company:
So I said to him Bullwinkle don't you feel blue
    With your winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle
There's a wonderful restaurant named after you
    Called winkle's, Bullwinkle's, Bullwinkle's

    Bullwinkle:
So I took up the banjo and now with delight
I am playing and singing here every night
It's a sad little song but it turned out alright
    For winkle, Bullwinkle, Bullwinkle!

    (music speeds up)

    Boris: Boo! Boo!

Natasha: Boris! You don't like sad songs?

Boris: I love sad songs! I just can't stand happy endings!

Rocky: Well if you like happy endings, you're gonna love our desserts! Try 'em, and we'll be back after the Fantasy Fountain Show!
