Mr. Hector J. Peabody, also known as “Mister Peabody,” is the smartest creature in the universe, and is known as a scholar, inventor, and scientist. He adopts young human boy Sherman and uses his Wayback Machine to time travel. Our Original Lore: During an episode of Peabody's Improbable History, Hector stumbled across his old friend Bullwinkle who was just starting his band. He agreed to travel with the band not as a performer but as their photographer. He eventually established a pop-up shop called Mr. Peabody's Improbable Picture Palace, which the band sometimes incorrectly calls “Mr. Peabody's Improbable Picture Palace.” Here, he takes photographs of dining families instead of just the band. He eventually decided to retire his pop-up shop. Television & Film: Hector made his debut in 1959, appearing in Rocky and His Friends. Bullwinkle's Restaurants: Hector never became an animatronic. He appeared exclusively with his pop-up shop in the restaurant's formative years.
